LUV stands for Liftin’ Up Vibrations.

I know that I am loved not because it is said. I know that I am loved when I am relieved of stress or pressure, or when I am made to feel happy or confident when I am not, or when I am shown strength or truth where I thought there was none. I know that I am loved because often I forget, and when I do the opposite but same is true. I know that I am loved when I feel lifted up and supported through the constant struggle of forever changing unconditionally. I know that I am loved like I know that all is energy that vibrates at high or low frequencies. I know that LUV is the highest frequency of vibration and I know that I AM LUV because I choose to vibrate higher! PeaceLUV&Abundance!!!

BEGINNINGS OF LUV!!!

LUV Microgreens was started to build and spread avenues of collective health, wealth and freedom throughout the Twin Cities Metro area with a focus on Black communities. Through my lived experience I have come to know that now is the time more than ever for us to begin thinking, learning and behaving creatively, courageously and collectively to shape the changes that we want to see in our lives. The journey of creating LUV Microgreens began humbly in a South Central Los Angeles backyard where I asked my Grandmother, whom I was living with at the time, if I could start a garden. To which she said “yes!” I started my first garden to try to eat healthy by establishing a direct relationship with the food I was to eat. This led me to exploring different ways of growing food and ultimately into indoor gardening/farming. When I discovered the amazing health benefits of micro-greens I fell in luv. I have realized and experienced the failures in depending on a system that focuses only on surface level treatment and/or management of symptoms rather than inquiry into and the addressing of root causes and providing preventative measures to some of the U.S.’s most deadliest conditions and diseases. We believe that by growing, consuming and distributing an abundance of some of world’s most nutrient dense produce that we affect substantially beneficial results in the health conditions and traditions that exist within the Twin Cities Black community. We believe that by demonstrating a successful business model of artfully producing and distributing micro-greens as Black farmers within Black communities we will help our communities continue to forward the struggle to take back control over our own health, access to wealth and economic mobility.

Me with the soil in my Grandmother’s backyard…

The beginning of my life’s journey to liftin’ up life beyond me with love…

At LUV Microgreens we show our luv by producing and increasing access to some of the highest quality Microgreens in the Twin Cities metro area! All of varieties are grown hydroponically and sometimes with an organic soil mix but always WITHOUT any fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. Our only other additional ingredients are natural pure drinking water processed by reverse osmosis, led lighting, timing and an organized space and a lot of luv. We started this journey to create something positive, to put some LUV in the world by creating the conditions for healing, revitalization and intentional transformation to occur in the mind, body and spirit beginning with what we cultivate and feed ourselves.

SUSTAINABILITY

LUV Microgreens is committed to sustainability. It is because of this commitment that we purchase our containers from Green Paper Products all of which are certified compostable. We are working on a more eco-friendly label but for now we are using Avery Products. We also offer a reusable mason jar option with to receive your microgreens in which we would swap out upon each delivery. There are more ways in which to pursue our commitment to sustainability and we are excited to share our progress as we continue to grow. We are always happy to answer any questions and are open to suggestions on how we can operate more sustainably. Please feel free to contact us by phone or email to share your thoughts. Thanks!
